How to use?
1. Entrance area: from the entrance area to the working area is generally a circular transition, easy to draw materials into the working area, and will not be abraded by the edge of the die hole.
2. Lubrication area: its role is to store lubricant, and make the drawing material get lubrication, conducive to the smooth progress of the drawing process.
3. Working area: it is the plastic deformation area of metal stretching. The selection of this area is mainly the length and the cone Angle. The length is too small, the stretched metal will produce too much pressure on the work area of the mold, and the tensile stress significantly increases, leading to the wear and tear of the mold, so that the drawn metal wire compression and elongation cross-sectional area are reduced; The length of the working area varies with the drawing material and its diameter and lubrication, and its selection principle is: 1) when drawing soft metal wire, it should be shorter than when drawing hard metal wire, 2) when drawing small diameter wire, it should be shorter than large diameter wire.3) when wet lubrication is stretched, it should be shorter than dry lubrication. Working cone Angle: when drawing steel, the working cone Angle is smaller, while when drawing non-ferrous metal and its alloy, the working cone Angle should be larger.
4 sizing area: drawing products through the sizing area to get the final size, the length of the sizing area depends on the hardness of the drawing material, sectional area and lubrication conditions and different; If it is too long, the friction force will increase in the drawing process, the temperature of the mold will rise, which will affect the life of the mold. At the same time, it will increase the tensile stress, and the wire break rate will increase during the drawing, and the power consumption will also increase. If the sizing area is too short, the size of the drawing products will be affected when the working cone changes during drawing. Generally drawing soft metal material is shorter than drawing hard metal material, drawing large diameter material is shorter than drawing small smuggling material, wet drawing is shorter than dry drawing.
5. Outlet area and outlet cone Angle: the outlet area is the last part of the drawing material leaving the die hole, which protects the sizing area from cracking; The outlet cone Angle is used to ensure that the stretched metal will not scratch the outlet of the sizing area and affect the quality of the outgoing line. The outlet area should not be too short, otherwise, the outlet end of the mold is easy to crack. When making the mold, the sharp edge of the connection between the outlet area and the sizing area must be rubbed off to make it into an arc transition, to ensure that the wire rod will be scratched when it passes through.
Notes for mold use:
1. It is necessary to choose the mold shape and size suitable for the stretched material, otherwise it will be easy to crack the mold.
2. The mold must be correct and firm along the drawing direction, without deviation, to prevent uneven wear.
3. Lubricants have a great impact on the life of the mold, so choose the appropriate lubricant and keep the mold in a clean state.
4. Do not knock or throw the mold.
